Hot Tub Use and Safety Instructions
Preparation and Water Quality
- Freshly Serviced: The hot tub is drained, cleaned, refilled, and chemically sanitized before each guest's arrival. Note that the water may not reach optimal temperature until the late evening of your arrival.
- Water Inspection: Before use, check the water. Do not use the hot tub if it appears cloudy, dirty, gritty, smells unusual, or raises any concerns about water quality. Contact the owners or maintenance immediately.
- Sanitization: A chlorine/bromine floater with sanitizing tablets is used to maintain water quality. Ensure it remains in the hot tub when not in use. If the floater is empty, do not use the hot tub and contact the owners or maintenance.
- Frequent Use: Heavy use may introduce bacteria or body oils that overwhelm the sanitization system. If water quality declines during your stay, stop using the hot tub and contact the owners for service.
Health and Safety Guidelines
- Use at Your Own Risk: Hot tub use carries health risks. The signing guest is responsible for informing all party members of these risks and rules.
- Medical Precautions:
- Consult a physician before use if you have heart disease, high/low blood pressure, circulatory issues, diabetes, obesity, or are taking medications.
- Avoid use if you have skin sensitivities, open wounds, or are under the influence of alcohol or drugs that may cause drowsiness, as this increases the risk of drowning.
- Hygiene:
- Shower before and after use to prevent rashes from chemical interactions with lotions, makeup, or other products.
- Do not wear jewelry, as hot tub chemicals may cause damage.
- Be aware that chemicals may affect color-treated hair or damage swimsuits.
- Prohibited Items:
- Do not use soaps, shampoos, lotions, bath oils, or glass items in or around the hot tub, as they may damage the tub, clog filters, or cause skin irritation.
- Do not submerge your head, ingest the water, or allow water to contact your eyes.
Operational Rules
- Review Instructions: Before unlocking or using the hot tub, fully review the operating procedures in the Rental Instructions and these safety guidelines.
- Supervision: Minors must be supervised by an adult (age 23 or older) at all times in or around the hot tub.
- Cover Use: Replace and lock the cover when the hot tub is not in use or unsupervised to maintain water temperature, prevent debris, and ensure safety. Do not climb, lean, sit, or stand on the cover, as damage will result in a charge against the damage deposit.
