★ PROPERTY: Set on several wooded acres, our custom-built all-log cabin provides tranquil wooded views and features an outdoor fire pit (firewood not provided). Situated on a quiet residential street, the cabin offers easy access via paved roads and driveway, with ample off-street parking for 4+ cars.

★ INTERIOR: Appalachian Escape Cabin combines traditional and modern elements, with hand-hewn hemlock log walls, exposed beams, gleaming hardwood floors, and rustic log furniture. Pine cone motif light fixtures accentuate the all-log interior.

★ Main Floor: Cozy up by the stone-clad two-sided fireplace that extends from floor to ceiling. Enjoy entertainment on a Smart 48" HDTV, play games on a rustic log pool table, or relive the past with classic 80s arcade games, including Pac-Man, Centipede, Frogger, Galaga, and more.

The modern kitchen with soft-close cabinetry and stainless steel appliances connects seamlessly to the spacious dining area. Custom chiseled-edge granite countertops and a large island offer ample seating and prep space. The dining room features a fireplace and a farm-style table for 10 guests, with additional seating for 6 at the kitchen island.

★ Second Floor: Find a King bedroom with a memory foam mattress and another "family" bedroom with two Queen beds and two narrow twin daybeds. Each bedroom includes a Smart TV with all the popular channels. A full bathroom with a walk-in shower and a separate jetted tub adds to the comfort. Winter months feature heated bathroom floors in both the main floor and upstairs bathrooms.

★ OUTDOORS: Enjoy the serenity of the Smoky Mountains with wooded and seasonal mountain ridge views. Relax on the full-length covered porch's rocking chairs, dine outside on the picnic table, or gather around the yard's charcoal grill and fire pit. A 5-person hot tub is perfect for unwinding after a day of adventures. Kids will love the "little log cabin" playhouse built from trees on the property.

★ IMPORTANT INFORMATION

 

►  Mountain Location: This is a mountain property. Guests should expect to drive on mountain roads. A 4WD or AWD vehicle and/or tire chains may be required during the winter months in case of snow or ice.
►  Child Safety: The house is child-friendly but not child-proof. The property is not fenced, so children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times when outdoors.
►  Housekeeping: Daily cleaning services are not provided. Guests will receive towels, linens, and a starter supply of soap, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags.
►  Wilderness Environment: The property is located in a wooded, largely wild area. Despite regular pest control, encounters with insects, arachnids, or other wildlife (inside or outside) are possible. Keep doors closed at all times, do not leave food in vehicles, and never leave food, leftovers, or trash outside. All garbage must be bagged and secured in the provided bear-resistant containers.
►  Wildlife: Sightings of bears, deer, reptiles, birds, raccoons, insects, and arachnids are common and do not warrant cancellations or refunds. Feeding wildlife is strictly prohibited.
►  Protect Your Travel Expense: Refunds will not be issued for weather events, fear of driving on mountain roads, changes in plans, or personal circumstances. Consider purchasing appropriate travel insurance.
►  Third-Party Amenities: Services such as electricity, water, TV, and internet are beyond our control. In the event of service interruptions, guests agree they are not entitled to compensation or refunds.
►  Wi-Fi: Complimentary Starlink internet Wi-Fi is provided for your convenience. Login details are available inside the house or via email. While generally reliable, occasional service interruptions may occur due to the property's rural mountain location. The Owners cannot guarantee continuous Wi-Fi access or speed, and disruptions do not qualify for a refund.
►  Booking Platforms: This property is listed on multiple online platforms, each with its own policies. The Rental Agreement’s terms take precedence over any conflicting policies on booking sites.
►  Rates and Discounts: Rates may vary across platforms and are subject to change. Sales, discounts, or specials (if available) apply only to new reservations.
►  Property Rules: No indoor smoking/vaping or pets are allowed. Occupancy must not exceed 10 total guests, with no more than 8 adults.
►  Damage Deposit: A $500.00 damage deposit is required, reserved 2 days before arrival and released no later than 5 days after departure, pending a satisfactory post-departure inspection.
►  Reservation Requirements: Guests must be at least 25 years old to book. A signed Rental Agreement and valid photo ID must be provided to the hosts within 48 hours of booking, or the reservation may be canceled for non-compliance.
►  Long Stays: Stays longer than 8 nights may require interim cleaning with an associated fee.
►  Arrival Information: Arrival instructions will be emailed 3 days before check-in. Access instructions will be emailed and texted 2 days before check-in.
►  Guest Responsibilities: Guests must inspect the house within 1 hour of check-in and report any issues to the Owners. Unreported issues may be deemed the guest’s responsibility. All concerns or complaints must be submitted in writing (via text or email) before departure, allowing the Owners reasonable time to address and document them.

We ask that noise levels be kept to a minimum when using outdoor amenities between 10 PM and 8 AM. We hope that you create cherished memories during your stay at Appalachian Escape and treat this exceptional mountain cabin with the care and respect it deserves.

 

Rates & Availability

Cancellation Policy: One hundred percent (100.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 60 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 60 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.
