Greenbrier Swimming Holes
One of the closest and most scenic places to enjoy mountain streams near our cabins is the Greenbrier section of Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

The Greenbrier area sits about 20 minutes east of Gatlinburg and follows the Middle Fork of the Little Pigeon River upstream through a beautiful forested valley. This picnic area sits along the Little River and features more than 100 picnic sites along the water, making it a popular place for swimming, fishing, and relaxing beside the river. The location sits between Gatlinburg and Townsend and provides easy access to several historic structures and hiking trails.
Townsend Wye Swimming Area
Often simply called "The Wye", this is one of the most well-known swimming areas in the Smoky Mountains. Two forks of the Little River meet here to form a wide pool with gravel banks and deeper swimming sections.
